A selection of work from the exhibit by graphic design student Megan Rendall
The BFA Student Exhibition I opened in the Art Gallery on Wednesday, December 4 and will run through Saturday, December 14.
This semester’s graduated BFA students will be the first to hold their capstone exhibition in the newly renovated Art Gallery. The exhibit will include a majority of work from within the students’ area of concentration, though guests can expect to see work from these students’ portfolios representing their career at IU South Bend.
For the BFA Student Exhibition, participating students are expected to prepare their art for display, install the exhibition, and address their audience at the Gallery Talk at 6 pm on Friday, December 6. The reception is presented in correlation with DTSB’s “First Friday’s” event.
Exhibiting students from the Fine Arts Department include Audrey Acosta, Andrew Avara, Tiffany Gilbert, Sunday Hale, Brian Riggs, Ryan Stutzman, Katie Neece, and Dustin Timm representing painting and drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.
From the New Media Department the exhibition will include Emily Delanghe, Jennifer Deneen, Jena Kozloski, Joshua Leach, and Megan Rendall in the concentrations of graphic design and new media.
Meet the artists at the reception from 5-9 pm on Friday, December 6.
