Dance Exposition showcases IU South Bend dance students, faculty

danceThe IU South Bend Dance Company will present a Dance Exposition on Thursday, March 21, showcasing the company, ensembles, and faculty performances of ballet, flamenco, jazz, Middle Eastern, and social dance.

The company will perform a selection of contemporary ballet pieces from Carmina Burana, as well as a tap dance performance of  “One” from Chorus Line and “Cute” by Count Basie.

Faculty performances will include a tap dance solo by Karen Pajor, a flamenco solo by Vladimir Sorokin, and a presentation of the fox trot by Halana Hattery and guest performer Steve Dodge. There will also be a Middle Eastern dance solo by Ruby Jazayre, and a flamenco duet by Carolynn Hine-Johnson and Vladimir Sorokin.
