Dean's Letter

deanIt has been quite a month at the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts. There were concerts by our wind ensemble and orchestra, Speech Night, and senior recitals. Graduation has now come and gone with a record number of our students receiving degrees and attending the ceremony.

We put some holes in the wall of the Recital Hall at the ground breaking of the Louse E. Addicott and Yatish J. Joshi Performance Hall, and now construction begins. The contract has been awarded and we are in the midst of the seat campaign.

We finish another academic year with our students achieving at the highest level. Our faculty are traveling this summer around the country and around the world presenting at conferences, exhibiting their work, and continuing studies in their areas of expertise. The staff will take some much needed vacation time over the next few weeks as they have done a fabulous job working with faculty and students all year and making things work.

This year has been a successful one in many ways. We thank you for your constant support as we make plans for the next academic year. You will hear from us this summer as we continue to publish our Aspire e-newsletter to keep you up to date on the activities of our faculty and students. Look for our newest edition of Aspire magazine in August.
