2013 Aspire magazine published
The 2013 edition of Aspire magazine has arrived in mailboxes across Michiana.
The annual publication of the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts features what’s happening in each of the school’s five disciplines. Whether our students and faculty have been at work on campus or traveling around the world, Aspire magazine will keep you up to date with their performances, awards, accomplishments, and studies. Students, staff, faculty, and friends of the school provide stories, photographs, and artwork for the annual magazine. This year 26 writers worked on the publication.
In 2011 Aspire magazine received an international Circle of Excellence award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. The awards acknowledge superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, and deliver exceptional results.
According to Dean of the Raclin School of the Arts Marvin Curtis, the publication was created in 2009 “to familiarize the community, patrons, alumni, and students with the breadth and depth of the Raclin school’s offerings.”
The editor of the 88-page magazine was Michele Morgan-Dufour. Student intern Sarah Duis served as assistant editor. Design was done by Tiffany Goehring, manager of publications and graphic design. Adam Hosterman, Lynnette Nettrouer, and Peter Ringenberg were the photographers. Dean Marvin Curtis and Director of Communications and Marketing Ken Baierl provided advice and direction.
