Euclid Quartet presents first concert of the season
This September, treat yourself to The Euclid Quartet’s first concert of the season.
The school of the arts’ ensemble-in-residence will perform at 4 pm on Sunday, Sept. 22. Concert highlights will include works for string quartet from three great composers.
The selections are String Quartet in G major, Op. 18, No. 2 by Ludwig Van Beethoven, “The Bullfighter” by Joaquin Turina, and String Quartet No. 6 by George Rochberg.
The Euclid Quartet is a dynamic ensemble known for performances filled with personality and vibrant color. With members originally from the United States, Great Britain, Venezuela, and China, they have won many prizes at major competitions around the world. Ara Guzelimian, artistic advisor of Carnegie Hall, praised them for their “wonderful intensity, insight, and communicative strength.”
