Instrumental pieces will include Deb Inglefield on French horn, Thom Limbert performing a piece for solo marimba and electronics, Rebecca Hovan on flute with Christine Larson Seitz on piano, solo piano with Geoffrey Duce, and duo piano with Jennifer and Jorge Muñiz.
This concert will also feature the world premiere of Variations Vortex, a composition from Marjorie Rusche, presented by Jacob Murphy on violin and Nicholas Roth on piano.
The Music Faculty Recital is the first recital in the Louise E. Addicott and Yatish J. Joshi Performance Hall that is open to a public audience. The renovated venue is a world-class performance space featuring state-of-the-art acoustics and recording technology. The renovation was made possible by a gift from the Georgina Joshi Foundation to honor the life and vision of Louise Addicott and her daughter Georgina Joshi.
Tickets for the Music Faculty Recital are available for $5-$9 and free to students and children. For more information visit arts.iusb.edu or call 574.520.4203.
