Toradze Piano Studio Performs March 7

Toradze Piano StudioExperience the internationally acclaimed Toradze Piano Studio right here in South Bend on Friday evening, March 7.

Led by Martin Endowed Professor in Piano Alexander Toradze, the pianists will take the stage in the Northside Hall Campus Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will include performances by multinational studio members Joo Hee Jeong (South Korea), Siwon Kim (South Korea), Natasha Stojanovska (Macedonia), and Ilia Ulianitsky (Russia).

Alumni Edisher Savitski and Ketevan Badridze; both of the Republic of Georgia, will performing Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 1. Badridze earned her artist diploma from IU South Bend in 2003 and joined the faculty in 2005. Savitski received his artist diploma from the school in 2001 and his doctorate of musical arts degree from Michigan State University last spring.

The program will include performances of works by Beethoven, Chopin, Granados, Prokofiev, and more.
