Flute and Guitar Ensembles Present Joint Concert

The Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts at IU South Bend presents two of their small ensembles in a joint concert.  The Flute and Guitar Ensembles will perform on Friday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Northside’s Recital Hall.

The Flute Ensemble, directed by Rebecca Hovan, will perform “The Comedians' Gallop” by Dmitri Kabalevsky, “Cedar Ridge” by Ricky Lombardo and Bill Holcombe’s “Siesta in Seville.”  They will also present Sandra Howard’s “Irish Suite” and all time favorite “The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin. 

The Guitar Ensemble, led by Matthias Stegmann, will perform "Selected Dances" from Terpsicore by Michael Praetorius for four guitars, a trio by J.S. Bach and Isaak Albéniz’ duet “Capricio Catalan.” 

Tickets for the Flute and Guitar Ensemble performance are available in advance for $3 and at the door for $5.  Tickets are free of charge to students and children.  For more information visit arts.iusb.edu or call the Arts Box Office at 574.520.4203.
