Euclid Quartet String Studio Performs April 12
The Euclid Quartet presents their studio in recital at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, April 12 in Northside’s Recital Hall at IU South Bend. The performance will feature solo and small ensemble chamber works by students of the Euclid Quartet.
Performers in the studio include Helen Pappas and Ting Yang on violin. The concert will also include selections from several chamber groups. Two trios will perform, one with Kendrick Allenson, cello, Helen Pappas, violin, and Dmitri Zghenti, piano and one with Jessica Jernigan, violin, Jordan Cavitt, bassoon, and Elisabed Imerlishvili, piano. Also there will be a quartet with violinists So-Hyun Yoon and Ting Yang, bassist Ilia Gogoberidze, and pianist Dmitry Molkov.
In 2007, the Euclid Quartet was appointed the Quartet-in-Residence at Indiana University
South Bend, where the four of them teach private lessons and coach chamber music. The quartet is committed to exposing young audiences to the joy of chamber music, and frequently performs
programs tailored towards young musicians, including a series of performances as “musical explorers” at Carnegie Hall.
Tickets for the Euclid Quartet String Studio are available from the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts Box Office for $3 in advance and $5 at the door. Tickets are free of charge to students and children. The Arts Box Office is open Monday through Friday 11 am to 6 pm and one hour prior to the performance.
