Celebrate Valentines Day at "Heartstrings & Valentines"
Plan ahead this year for Valentine’s Day by scheduling your reservation for “Heartstrings and Valentines”! There’s still time to book your reservation for a romantic evening of dinner and dancing at Woodward Banquet Facility in South Bend. Hosted by the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts, this special event features cuisine catered by Trio’s Restaurant and Jazz Club, and performances by the faculty ensemble the Vermillion Quintet and student jazz ensemble Jua Coates and Company. Proceeds from the event will support scholarships for wind students.
“Heartstrings and Valentines” takes place Sunday, February 12th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Woodward Banquet Facility of South Bend and is catered exclusively by Trio’s Restaurant and Jazz Club. Attendees will enjoy a romantic evening of gourmet food with dinner music the Vermillion Quintet, a faculty wind quintet formed by Chris French, Andrea Mather-Stow, Deb Inglefield, Eric Kuehner, and Rebecca Hovan. After dinner the dancing begins with student jazz ensemble Jua Coates and Company.
Choose from four delicious entrees: Blackened strip steak with herb roasted golden potatoes, charred red onion, and balsamic reduction; Grilled fresh filet of swordfish with cilantro risotto and mango sauce with broccolini; Boneless breast of chicken oscar, with crabmeat asparagus and béarnaise sauce, and herb roasted golden potatoes; and Vegetarian terrine, a medley of seasonal fresh vegetables, with frisee salad and raspberry vinaigrette and tobacco onions. All meals are $60 per person and include coffee/tea, a salad, and dessert as well as gratuity.
