Spring is just around the corner! At least those of us at the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts hope so!  One is never quite sure here in Indiana, but what we do know that that the month of March is full of exciting events on our campus.  Already this month photographer Barbara DeGenevieve and communication expert Mark Andrejevic visited campus as part of our 20th anniversary celebration. The IU South Bend Chamber Choir and Chorale performed in Plymouth, and the IUSB Jazz Ensemble had a wonderful performance here on campus.

This week is our annual spring break, but our students and faculty are still busy. The theatre students have been working on their spring production of A Midsummer’s Night Dream that opens in April. On Monday a group of students traveled to Ogilvy & Mather, an international advertising and public relations firm, in Chicago for a tour. The Gospel Choir is heading to Greenville, North Carolina to give a concert this weekend. It is the Gospel Choir’s first trip ever.

Later this month watch our dancers soar in their Studies in Dance: A Lecture Demonstration.  Mara Einstein will speak at this month’s second IUSB Forum, which will explore the rise of cause-related marketing. Come and let us inspire you as we aspire to bring you the best in the arts as we showcase our students and faculty!
