Summer is upon us and the Ernestine M. Raclin School is still working.  As the academic year came to a close, we celebrated the complete renovation of The Upstage Theater and received our second National Endowment for the Arts grant in three years. Our 20th anniversary party Crescendo is upon us at LaSalle Grill, we are working on a presentation at Fridays at the Fountain in August,  while plans are being made for our hosting the Indiana Governor's Arts Award dinner on September 23rd. We await the status of our  grants that were submitted to the Indiana Arts Commission and The Community Foundation of St. Joseph County.

Next academic year, Theater opens the fall semester with Lorraine Hansberry's classic, A Raisin in the Sun guest directed by Walter Allen Bennett, Jr., a writer from The Cosby Show and Executive Producer of The Steve Harey Show. Music is preparing for its accreditation visit from The National Association of Schools of Music, while construction will begin on the Education Arts Building that will house painting and drawing, photography, graphic design, new media, animation, and a new Ernestine M. Raclin Art Gallery.

We aspire to inspire and we invite you to witness the growth and talent of our students and the dedication of our faculty.  Happy Summer!!
