Education at its best

The fall months are upon us and the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts is buzzing with activity. We have already seen musical and visual arts events and anticipate the opening of A Raisin in the Sun during the middle of October.   Students are busy working on projects and faculty and staff are busy assisting students, helping and challenging them to use their talents and gifts in positive and productive ways.  It is education at its best.

You are invited to our first “Open House” at the Elkhart Center on October 22nd from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This event is designed for potential students, parents, counselors, and anyone that is interested in a career in the arts.

Come and meet our talented faculty and talk with admissions and financial aid counselors.  Let us tell you about the exciting things that occur on our campus.  Following that will be our first Alumni Lunch at McCarthy’s on the Boardwalk starting at noon.  Reservations are being taken by Jeanie Metzger, Director of Alumni Affairs.

If you live in the Elkhart County, come and see and hear what your school is doing.  It will be great to meet you as we share our accomplishments and aspirations. As always we invite you to the campus to see the beauty of fall.  There is music and drama in the air.  There is the IUSB Forum and students working on numerous art, dance, and new media projects.  Take time to make a visit and see how our students aspire to be the best they can be.
