A fresh new look for the Arts
Dean Marvin V. Curtis
It is the beginning of another academic year and a season of great performances, lectures, exhibitions, and collaborations. The Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts welcomes new students and returning students to new paint, new carpet, new faculty, and new banners in our hallway. Now everyone will know where we are!
Look for your new issue of Aspire magazine! It is the largest issue yet (88 pages) and full of interesting facts, articles, and memories about our past academic year! You will notice it looks somewhat different than previous issues. My thanks to Tiffany Goehring , Ken Baierl, Kathy Borlik, Michael Banks, Peter Ringenberg, and editor Michele Morgan-Dufour. The team did excellent work and made the School of the Arts extremely proud!
As the school year begins, I look forward to continuing to create an environment that fosters the creativity and education of our students, provide opportunities for faculty to grow their gifts, and engage the community in artistic ventures outside of their wildest dreams. It is a tall order but one that I plan to aspire to.
We are here to serve and educate. We invite you to be a part of our new academic year and our new season. Come and explore the variety of activities at the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts and Indiana University South Bend. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
