Ten years after graduating from Northwestern, Frank Martin '78 decided to pursue his Master of Business Administration at IU South Bend's Leighton School. Frank credits the Leighton School faculty for spiriting his passion for reading and writing. "The professors connected me with what I needed to learn," he explained. "They had a passion for teaching."
"Every course I took was relevant and immediately applicable to my job," he commented. "The creative teaching and structure made it easy for me to get a lot out of the program."
In 1987, Frank founded Martin Capital Management (MCM), an independent registered investment advisor registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition to being the chief investment officer for MCM, Frank is an avid reader and writer. He's published two books on investing: Speculative Contagion in 2005, and A Decade of Delusion more recently. "My deep passion for learning was ignited by my experience at IUSB's Leighton School," Frank remarked.
Frank sits on the Leighton School Board of Advisors.
