Staci Lugar Brettin is a doctoral candidate at Anderson University. Her doctoral research focus is market-driven innovation as it relates to radical innovation, market learning style, and market focus. Brettin is a visiting lecturer at IU South Bend. She spent three years as a business advisor and trainer for the South Bend Area Small Business Development Center where she worked with regional start-ups and small businesses.
At the SBDC Brettin trained and advised entrepreneur to develop business feasibility studies and plans, to conduct market research, and to craft effective market strategies. Her doctoral research has allowed her to work with the Anderson Flagship Enterprise Center, a business incubator in central Indiana, including assisting in the planning for the center’s GROW conference for Indiana entrepreneurs featuring Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman.
Brettin holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from Ball State University and an M.B.A. from Bethel College. She received the Graduate of the Last Decade Award form Ball State in 2000.
