Effective January 1, 2020
This information outlines the key features of the IU South Bend administrative structure that will be effective beginning January 1, 2020. This structure has been constructed to address the challenges the campus faces, particularly our enrollment, but also to bring cohesion and clarity to the administrative structure. The changes reflected in this structure were made based on the report provided by Dr. Welty but also in consultation with a variety of stakeholders across campus. As we work together during the Spring 2020 semester, we will continue to test this new structure to be sure it is functioning in the best possible manner. When the new Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs arrives, they will have an opportunity to make refinements to the structure, in consultation with key stakeholders and approval by the Chancellor. No office moves will be required and no new staff positions are currently planned as a result of this revised administrative structure.
