Laura Harlow is the Director of Institutional Equity and Inclusive Excellence. Laura serves as the campuses Deputy Title IX Coordinator and IU South Bend ADA Coordinator contact. She responds to any institutional compliance needs or concerns of discrimination on the basis of age, color, disability, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, or veteran status. Laura plans, organizes, and administers the campus affirmative action/equal opportunity program to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes, helps execute results-oriented programs designed to increase participation of minorities, women, veterans, and people with disabilities.
Laura is currently a Ph.D. student in the Higher Education Administration at Indiana State University. She is a graduate of Missouri State University with her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Indiana University Bloomington with a Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She is certified as the campus Affirmative Action Officer (CAAP) through the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity and holds a Student Affairs Law and Policy Certificate through NASPA Students Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. She is originally, from St. Louis, MO Laura now resides in South Bend, IN with her husband. Laura was formerly the Director of Student Conduct for IU South Bend from 2014-2019.
