Strategic Planning

The Campus Directions Committee is charged with directing the periodic development of the campus strategic plan in collaboration with University Administration, regularly reviewing and, if needed, revising the campus mission statement, and regularly assessing the progress, results, and performance indicators of each goal and, where appropriate, making recommendations and adjustments.

The CDC has been working on developing the next five-year strategic plan for IU South Bend with the goal of having it completed during the Spring 2021 semester. Central to the IU South Bend plan will be (1) new mission and vision statements, (2) strategic goals for the next five years, and (3) measurable objectives and (4) key performance indicators that will be used to keep us focused on moving the university forward. The CDC seeks to obtain wide-ranging input from the campus and community. Various activities will be held to gather this input with summaries posted to this website. Dr. John Welty, a strategic planning consultant, will work with the CDC and the Chancellor to ensure we have a plan that inspires us to reach even greater heights.
