The CLAS Academic Advising Center
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recognizes that effective and timely academic advising contributes to a successful college experience and requires that every student engage in academic advising offered in the college. CLAS faculty and professional advisors guide students through a developmental process that encourages students to clarify life/career goals and develop educational plans to achieve these goals. As a result, CLAS offers the most highly rated, among students themselves, advising on campus.
The CLAS Advising Center is the academic home for Exploratory students. Students with a declared major are advised by faculty members in their academic units. You can use this app on One.IU to find out who your advisor is.
Our offices in South Bend are on the 3rd floor of Wiekamp Hall near the bridge area (DW3300B).
Limited Academic Advising hours in the Elkhart Center are available also. Call (574) 294-5550 for details.
A CLAS Advising Center advisor will be available for walk-ins Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Walk-ins are for quick (15 minutes or less) questions or problems.
If you need more than 15 minutes to discuss your questions or concerns, or you are preparing to plan and schedule classes for upcoming semesters, please call (574) 520-4214 to schedule a full appointment with your advisor.
