  • Academic Centers for Excellence: The Academic Centers for Excellence at IUSB aim to provide students the opportunity to develop diverse skills and strategies necessary for academic success within a safe and inclusive learning environment. Visit the website, stop by the center in Room 122 of the Administration Building, call 574-520-5022, or email sbtutor@iusb.edu for more information.  The Centers consist of:
    • The Learning Center: The Learning Center offers free drop-in tutoring in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Business and Economics, Accounting, Foreign Languages, Philosophy, Psychology, Computer Science and Computing, Music and more. They also offer after-hours tutoring in the library. 
    • The Writer's Room: The Writer's Room offers free drop-in tutoring in writing for any subject and any course.
    • A variety of learning support programs, including Study Smarter and subject-specific resources
  • Titan Success Center (TSC):The Titan Success Center offers support services to help students transition to college and prepare for future careers.
  • Disability Support Serivces (DSS): Disability Support Services is committed to ensuring that students with disabilities have equal opportunity to participate in, contribute to, and benefit from all university programs, services, and activities. DSS provides leadership to the campus community on disability-related issues, establishes policies and procedures for obtaining and delivering services, and ensures that the university is in compliance with the legal requirements for serving our students with disabilities.   • Student Counseling CenterThe Student Counseling Center provides free and confidential help to IU South Bend students for a variety of personal and emotional difficulties. Services include counseling and consultations, crisis intervention, life skills/personal development workshops, links to community resources, and group counseling. Contact the Student Counseling Center for help if you are struggling with stress/time management, depression/anxiety, academic concerns, emotional well-being, alcohol/drug misuse, eating disorders, sexual assault/violence, grief, coping skills, family/relationship problems, or anything else.   • Career Services: The Career Services Office (CSO) supports and empowers students and alumni in their career development as they make career decisions, develop job search strategies, pursue experiential opportunities, and secure employment.
