Giving to Computer Science:

Your donations make an impact in our students' lives and departmental programs. It allows us to provide scholarships, research awards, student awards, and others. We are happy that you have chosen to support the Department of Computer and Information Science at IU South Bend.

Donation and Scholarship Accounts:

When making a donation, you can decide how you want your funds spent.  Below is a list of options available to you:

  • IUSB Computer and Information Sciences Foundation Account (Use this number when giving: I32RR04908)
    • This is the general department foundation fund
  • William J. Knight Fund for Academic Excellence in Computer Science (Use this number when giving: P37RR04527)
    • This fund provides scholarships to our students every year
  • John P. Russo Fund for Academic Excellence in Computer Science (Use this number when giving: P37RR04469)
    • This fund provides scholarships to our students every year

How To Make a Donation:

You can make you donation via online, payroll deduction, snail mail, etc. These are listed in this webpage (https://www.iusb.edu/development/giving-opportunities/index.php).

Indiana Tax Benefits:

All gifts to IU South Bend may be deductible on both state and federal taxes. For example, for a $400 donation in 2015 the State of Indiana will give a $200.00 (50%) tax credit. (Note that the $200 is a credit and not just a deduction. A tax credit reduces your Indiana state tax by $200.)
