Dominic is a veteran officer with the South Bend Police Department currently holding the rank of Lieutenant and assigned as The City of South Bend’s Group Violence Intervention’s Operations Manager.   While on the South Bend Police Department Dominic held prior assignments as the Supervisor of the Burglary Investigations Unit for three years, Major Financial and Organized Crime Investigator for eleven years, Midnight Uniformed Patrol Officer, Crime Scene Evidence Technician, Fatal Crash and Homicide Diagrammer, St. Joseph County Anti-Terrorism and Response - Law Enforcement Coordinator, and a member of the South Bend Police Regional Academy Law Enforcement Training Staff.  In 2002 Dominic was selected as the South Bend Police Department’s Officer of the Year for his work in investigations.

Dominic has previously served as an Adjunct Instructor with the Louisiana State University – Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education, Michiana College, and ITT-Tech.  Currently Dominic serves as an Adjunct Faculty member for Indiana University – South Bend, Southern New Hampshire University as well as the National White Collar Crime Center and the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.

Dominic is the Owner and Operations Manager of Gargoyle Preferred Investigative Services (GPInvs) a training, consulting and investigative service specializing in intellectual property investigations and financial based negative exposure activity mitigation.

Dominic’s professional belief is that continued research and educational collaboration assists in making the investigative base more robust and allows for more efficient means to keeping criminals accountable for their actions and victimization of our communities.  Dominic is married with three children, three cats, and a two dogs. 

Currently Dominic volunteers as a the Kappa West Province President (a General Officer) for the Phi Delta Theta International Fraternity specifically working closely with the men of Phi Delta Theta on the campuses of Valparaiso University, Indiana State University, DePauw University and the University of Southern Indiana.

Dominic earned his BS in Criminology from Indiana State University and his MS in Economic Crime Management from Utica College.
