Apple provides free recycling of your old computer system when you purchase any qualifying Apple computer or display. You can sign up for this program in the store or during the online checkout process. Apple also provides free recycling for any Apple computer system, monitor, cell phone or ipod. The Center for a Sustainable Future and the Recycling Committee at Indiana University South Bend collect electronics, free of cost, once a year at the annual E-Waste Recycling Fest. Items accepted include computer systems/accessories, handheld devices, as well as audio, video and office equipment.

Dell provides free recycling of any Dell branded product as well as your old computer and monitor when you purchase a new Dell PC. Click here to print out a prepaid shipping label for qualified items.

FREEK GEEK Michiana, which is a non-profit organization, accepts computers and their accessories. Monetary donations are strongly suggested. Collected items will be refurbished and donated to those in need.

The Habitat for Humanity Restore has a monthly electronics recycling collection at the South Bend ReStore on the last Wednesday of every month from 2 to 6 pm.  See a listing of what we take on their website.

Green Earth Electronics Recycling: 3621 Tennis Court, St. Joseph. 326-1232. Email jeff@greenearth1.com. Drop-offs accepted by appointment. Call about pick up service options. Recycling services provided to residents, businesses, and institutions. Accepts computers, monitors, laptops, TV's, all consumer electronics with a cord or battery. Accepts appliances, too. There is a hazardous disposal fee for CRT monitors ($5) and tube TV's ($10). All hard drives are wiped to Department of Defense specifications or shredded.
