Dina Harris is the Director of Development at Indiana University South Bend and is in her ninth year at IU South Bend. Ms. Harris is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and has been in the area since 1979. She began working at IU South Bend on April 23, 2007 as Director of Foundation Relations. She currently serves on the advisory committees for the Center for Sustainable Future and the IU South Bend School of Education. Ms. Harris also serves on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society of Elkhart County, Indiana, as secretary.
Prior to coming to IU South Bend, Ms. Harris was Development Manager at Greencroft Retirement Communities, Goshen. She has been involved in non-profit work and fundraising for more than 28 years. Ms. Harris has a Bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio State University, and a Master’s degree in education from Boston University. She taught in the Elkhart area, and also in Parma and Berea, both in Ohio. She was past president of the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Michiana Chapter. She currently serves on the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce board and the Economic Development Council.
