About Distance Education
Online Learning Brings IU South Bend to You
Want to earn college credit toward a university degree but don’t have the time to attend classes on campus? IU South Bend’s distance learning program was designed with you in mind. You can take courses online wherever you have a good Internet connection with your computer – at home, coffee shop, etc. Many of the courses needed to complete your bachelor’s degree are available, as well as some courses from the MBA program.
Courses Taught by IU South Bend Professors
When you enroll as a distance learner at IU South Bend, you get the same high quality education you would receive on campus with courses designed and taught by the same professors who teach in our classrooms.
You can study at your own speed and convenience, as long as you complete your course within the semester. It’s an ideal situation for:
- Students who want an online course in addition to their campus-based classes
- Adults returning to college
- Students with family and/or job responsibilities
- High school students who want to take college courses
Generally, online classes require one on-campus meeting per semester and you pay the same affordable tuition as on-campus students. A few courses require students to be on-campus to take exams.
Take our online survey to see if online learning is right for you. We’d love to add you to our growing online student body that currently includes more than 1,000 students working toward their college or graduate degree.
