Course Requirements for the MA in English

Below are the course requirements for the two concentrations offered by the English MA Program. Both concentrations require 32 hours of coursework (8 courses), plus the Directed Writing Project (W609), which counts for 4 hours towards the degree. L501, L502, G660 and W609 are requirements for all students; the remaining courses are electives.  To graduate, all students must achieve at least a 3.0 gpa. Only courses in which the student achieves a B- or higher can count towards the degree (see Policies).
