No more waiting!  The 2017-2018 FAFSA opened October 1, 2016!  The FAFSA will use federal income tax data from two years prior to the application year, rather than the immediately previous year.  This is a permanent change to the FAFSA. 

To get free help filing your 2017-2018 FAFSA attend one of the workshops below.  All IUSB Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships workshops are held in Room 1105 of the Education and Arts Building (100 Esther Street), from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm.

IU South Bend students receive approximately $37 million in financial aid each year. This includes scholarships and grants offering "free money" (not paid back), work-study opportunities that allow you to work and earn money to help pay for your costs, and low-interest student and parent loans (borrowed money that must be repaid).
