IU South Bend Campus
Indiana University South Bend is the only comprehensive public university in North Central Indiana and the third largest campus in the Indiana University system. We’re a university grounded in academic excellence that also offers the full collegiate experience including student housing, if needed.
Nestled along the St. Joseph River, the IU South Bend campus includes:
- Over 80 beautiful acres
- 10 buildings including a state-of-the-art library and Student Activities Center
- 46 laboratories and 13 computer labs
- A campus-wide wireless Internet environment
The heart of the campus offers a warm and inviting campus community where you’ll feel at home right away.
Because we’re public, we’re more affordable than many colleges. In addition, IU South Bend offers scholarships, grants, and financial aid to further lower your costs to attend.
Professors, not teaching assistants, conduct our classes, and many professors use students to help in their research projects.
For a well-rounded education that provides the benefits of a public university and the close-knit learning environment of a private institution, choose IU South Bend for your college and graduate education.
IU South Bend has about 8,300 students and a 15:1 student to professor ratio, so you can be confident your professors will get to know you by name and take a personal interest in your academic progress.
