The IU South Bend Libraries provide access to quality information resources and tools to primarily support the instructional programs of the University.
Specific collections include reference, Archives and Special Collections, media, government publications, reserves, and the Wiekamp Educational Resource Commons (WERC). In addition, IU South Bend Libraries are part of the Indiana University Libraries with shared access to most print-based resources through the online catalog, IUCAT.
Collection Development encompasses the acquisition, ongoing evaluation, and maintenance of information resources and tools needed to support the instructional programs of the University. IU South Bend Subject Librarians work in partnership with the faculty to develop the collection. Collection development decisions are guided by the Libraries' collection policy.
