Library Instruction

The Library Instruction program supports the IU South Bend curriculum by offering instruction to students to assist them in completing their assignments, their coursework, and to gain the knowledge and skills in Information Literacy that will enable them to use information effectively throughout their lives. Library instruction may take the form of:

  • Library orientation sessions
  • Audio tours
  • Tutorials 
  • Course web pages
  • Course-specific instruction, including for online or distance courses
  • Embedded Librarians
  • One-credit Information Literacy courses: Q110 and Q510
