Advisory Board

The MPA Advisory Board connects the program with the larger community. Board members are volunteers who help the program in the governance and advancement of the MPA program at Indiana University South Bend. The MPA program intends to train successful and qualified managers to lead public organizations.  This is best accomplished through active engagement with the community in which students serve. This is accomplished by:

  • Providing counsel to the MPA program director and the Department of Political Science in areas of course offerings, program changes, and accreditation;
  • Assisting the program by helping to secure mentors and internships for students;
  • Assisting, when possible, with the placement of graduates;
  • Stimulating public awareness of MPA education needs and contributions;
  • Advocating the program through the recruitment of new students; and,
  • Advancing the program through active engagement in fundraising.
