Boo to You and Haunted House at IU South Bend
Nearly 20 organizations and clubs from IU South Bend have joined forces to produce a two Halloween events on the campus of IU South Bend on Thursday, Oct. 31.
Boo to You will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31, on the campus mall along Mishawaka Avenue. It is geared for toddlers to sixth graders. The event will include a duck pond, sugar skull painting, origami, face painting, balloon quidditch, inflatable, free popcorn and cotton candy, prizes and general fun.
Participants are encouraged to show off your costumes and be spooky.
A haunted house has been set up inside a basement area of Northside Hall and will be opened from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. This is geared for older children and teens. Admission for the haunted house is a non-perishable food which will be donated.
The haunted house has been designed by club members and art students from the Raclin School of the Arts.
Waivers must be signed by parents for the inflatable area and the haunted house.
Student organizations involved include the Disney Internship Program and Alumni Association, Helping Out People (HOP) Project, Student Government Association, Art Department, Quidditch Team, Spanish Club, Latino Student Union, Black Student Union, Alpha Sigma Phi, Delta Sigma Phi, Alpha Sigma Tau, Marketing and Advertising Club, Japanese Club, and Film Club.
Saint Mary’s College is a co-sponsor of the event. Student volunteers from both campuses will be participating.
