New Social Work Degree
Beginning next fall the School of Social Work at IU South Bend will be offering a new full-time degree program designed for students to earn a Master’s degree in one year.
The program is open to students who have earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Work within the past five years. Students entering the program in the 2015 second summer session will complete their Master of Social Work (MSW) in one year. Currently, IU South Bend offers a part-time MSW program for students who have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) which takes two years to complete. For students with other bachelor degrees the MSW takes three years to complete.
The MSW programs at IU South Bend are taking applications now with a priority deadline of Feb. 2, 2015. The new MSW program is the only Indiana University School of Social Work full-time master’s program offered at an IU campus outside of Indianapolis. Applications are available on the social work website at http://www.iusb.edu/social-work
