The Dental Hygiene Program at IU South Bend is holding its second annual Access to Care Day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday April 18, in the Roger S. Pecina Dental Education Clinic and Afdent Classrooms in the Education and Arts Building at 1002 S. Esther Street.
The event offers free basic dental services for the first registered 250 adult patients. Volunteer dentists and hygienists will perform either a free extraction or filling. Registration begins in person at 5 a.m. and is first come, first served.
A health fair will also be set up in the building with various community partners offering information and services.
