 Dusty Krikau

Assistant Director

I joined the staff of IU South Bend in January of 2011, after moving to South Bend from Virginia. I received my B.S. in Public Communication from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 2004 and my M.S. Ed. with a concentration in College Student Personnel Administration from James Madison University in 2007. In the office, I will work to assist you with your basic immigration needs.  Look for me when you need to update something on your I-20, ask a question about immigration regulations or are interested in finding out more about employment opportunities for you as an international student.

My career has been focused on helping students become educated and enlightened citizens who lead meaningful and productive lives.  To that end, I work hard to ensure that students at IU South Bend are aware of all the great activities and events taking place on and off campus.  South Bend is a thriving city filled with organizations working to improve the lives of everyone.  It is easy to find ways to get to know people in the community, whether you want to join a local community garden, assist with on-campus events or volunteer your services with a non-profit agency; there are many ways to get involved.  In my free time, I work with two local non-profits and love to take bike rides with my family on all the bike paths the South Bend offers.  It is very hard to be bored in South Bend!
