Orientation Reservations - Incoming Summer/Fall 2016 Students
Orientation is a required program for all students new to IU South Bend. There are two different orientation programs for students new to campus:
1. New Student Orientation (full-day program, 9:00a - 4:00p)
You will attend this program if you are either of the following:
- First-time college student;
- Transfer student with less than 18 credit hours
Registration for classes for the above students takes place during orientation, so it is to your advantage to attend the earliest possible program.Parents and guests are welcome to attend New Student Orientation, but we ask that you limit the number of guests to two.
Reservations are limited for each orientation and will close one week prior to each orientation unless capacity is reached sooner.
If you are required to take the English and/or Math placement exam, these exams must be completed PRIOR to reserving for orientation. Students will be asked to reschedule for a future orientation if exams have not been completed. If you are unsure which exam(s) to take, refer to your Admissions certificate or contact the office of Admissions at (574) 520-4839 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Reservations are required (no walk-ins). Click on the links below or call (574) 520-5005.
Note: Students majoring in Social Work should register for the June 24 or July 22 orientation only.
Placement exams (math and/or English) must be completed ONE WEEK PRIOR to attending orientation. You will be asked to schedule to a future orientation if exams have not been completed in this time frame.
