At orientation, you will receive a comprehensive introduction to the university and all its services. In addition, you will meet with faculty and staff from your academic unit, obtain your picture ID, receive a student planner, and much more. Parents and guests are welcome to attend.
Prior to reserving for orientation, you need to complete any required placement exams. Refer to your Admissions Certificate to determine if any of the exams have been waived. Click here for exam reservations.
First-time Students and Transfer students with less than 26 credit hours
Orientation is a full-day program from 9:00a - 4:00p. You must attend the entire program or repeat it at a later date, so please plan accordingly. New Student Orientation will be held on:
Students are encouraged to attend the earliest possible orientation. Most students register for classes prior to orientation, while some register during or after first attending orientation. Click here to determine your registration eligibility.
Transfer Students with 26 or more credit hours
There is a half-day program from 9:00a - 12:30p for students withi 26 or more credit hours (sophomore standing and above). However, you are still welcome to attend the full-day program if you prefer.
