9-2013: The campus police department would like to make the campus community aware of a recent increase in bicycle thefts. There have been six reported thefts of bicycles this month. Thefts have been reported at the student apartment complex as well as at locations on campus. The police department reminds all bicycle owners to always lock your bike when it is left unattended. Some tips for bicycle security may be found at http://www.bikeshepherd.org/bike-security.html  Remember, you can register your bicycle with the campus police department. Registration forms are available online at https://www.iusb.edu/police/bicycle_and_laptop_registration.php or you can stop by the campus police department located at the corner of 20th Street and Mishawaka Avenue. Report suspicious persons to IUPD via the 24 hour non-emergency number. If you see a theft in progress, call 911.
