Study Abroad Opportunities
IU South Bend students on a Study Abroad trip in Bruges, Belgium.
Political Science students have participated in IU South Bend as well as IU Bloomington study abroad programs for credit, including in Mexico, Costa Rica, France, and the U.K.
In addition, the Department of Political Science offers its own study abroad course (Pols Y488, Study Abroad in Political Science). Y488 takes students to Europe to study important contemporary developments in European politics. Students travel to Belgium, Luxembourg and France. Participation in the course consists of institutional visits, meetings with officials and staff members of the European Parliament and other European Institutions (including the European Commission, Council of Ministers, Court of Justice, European Court of Human Rights, and the Council of Europe) as well as participating in daily cultural training and discussion sessions.
All loans, grants, and scholarships for which participants are eligible at IU South Bend can be used to help make study abroad possible. Interested students should contact the Director of International Programs or visit the International Programs website.
