PERSONAL PASSIONS

With nearly 100 student clubs and organizations, you’ll be able to find a group that shares your interest. Academics, intramural sports, cultural appreciation, community involvement, social activism, and hobbies—there’s a place for everyone to pursue their interests outside the classroom at IU South Bend.

GREEK LIFE

IU South Bend has an active Greek life, where you can join in local chapters of national fraternities and sororities:

  • Alpha Sigma Phi
  • Alpha Sigma Tau (AST)
  • Theta Phi Alpha

Get active in a campus leadership role by participating in student government or reporting for the university newspaper. Listen to speakers and lectures, attend plays and recitals, and volunteer for campus events.

With brilliant faculty at your fingertips, endless curiosity, and a network of friends and future colleagues, you'll be able to set your destination and enjoy the journey.

Scholarships

In addition to the need-based aid programs, we also offer more than 200 merit-based scholarships every year. For more information about the Online Scholarship application, visit
Scholarships

The Online Scholarship application is available on OCTOBER 1 and applications are due MARCH 1.

Financial Aid

IU South Bend offers federal, state, and institutional aid to degree-seeking students. Eighty percent of students receive grant or scholarship aid and 76 percent receive low-interest loans to help finance their education. Students who qualify can use work-study to find jobs on and off campus to earn spending cash. Most aid is based on need as determined by the FreeApplication for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

To receive priority consideration for need-based aid the FAFSA should be filed by APRIL 15.
The application is available at FAFSA.
