New Student Induction Ceremony - Friday, August 19, 2016

Our final event for new students! All incoming students (that have attended orientation and registered for classes) and their families are invited to the annual New Student Induction Ceremony. Join Chancellor Terry Allison and the Academic Deans as the campus joins together to formally recognize the beginning of your educational journey. Whereas commencement brings everything to a close . . . this multi-campus event provides an official welcome into the academic community at IU South Bend.

Upon the conclusion of the ceremony, lunch will be served in the University Grill. You will then have the opportunity to complete last-minute items prior to the beginning of classes. Photo ID’s, textbooks, connecting laptop or mobile devices to the campus wireless network, and more checklist items will be available. Campus tours will allow you to specifically locate your classes, so you will know exactly where to go when classes begin the following Monday. In addition, all offices within Student Services and Enrollment Services will be open. This includes Admissions, Bursar, Counseling Center, Disability Support Services, Financial Aid, Making the Academic Connection, and the Registrar. Dress is casual.
