The Student Publication Board is charged with the general supervision of the student publications, their student led staff, and fiscal operations. There are many opportunities for students to get involved in on-campus publications.

For Undergraduate Students


Analecta is IU South Bend’s award-winning literary journal. It is published annually under the guidance of a student editor who selects the best poetry, fiction, drama, and visual artwork submitted by IUSB students. Analecta’s mission is to showcase the best literary and visual artwork of IUSB students and to provide an opportunity for students to get their work published in a literary journal.  The submission deadline for Analecta has been extended to Friday, February 7th, 2014.

New Views on Gender

New Views on Gender is dedicated to issues on gender. We accept research papers and all types of creative work. In addition, we are looking for photos and/or artwork for the cover of the publication. We encourage all IUSB students to contribute their work exploring gender issues.

Undergraduate Research Journal

The URJ is an annual publication highlighting student research. We're seeking papers written by undergraduates, 8-20 pages in length, from any discipline or field of study campus-wide. Papers submitted to the URJ are edited and reviewed by an editorial team also comprised of undergraduates.

The submission deadline for this school year has been extended to midnight, February 10th, 2014.

Graduate Research Journal

The Graduate Research Journal is a multidisciplinary journal specifically for graduate students. The goal of the GRJ is to publish the best graduate work produced on Indiana University South Bend’s campus every year. We also provide opportunities for academic and professional experience through the peer review and editing process done by graduate students. As a multidisciplinary journal, participants will have the opportunity to engage with ideas and work outside of their fields, which will promotes the exchange of perspectives among academic disciplines within the campus.

The submission deadline for the Graduate Research Journal has been extended to Friday, February 7th. All submissions can be sent to The submission guidelines are as follows:

The paper should have an original idea which contributes to the field, an abstract, a length of 10-15 pages, and the format and citation used in the discipline.

As graduate students, we are expecting you to have the amount of sources required to adequately give evidence to your thesis.
