FINANCIAL AID 

APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID AND/OR IU SCHOLARSHIPS:     

You will need an electronic pin number to apply.  If you do not have one, request one right away: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

FAFSA:   The priority date for filing your FAFSA is in early March every year. This award is for the fall, spring and summer  semester. https://www.iusb.edu/finaid/how_to_apply.php 

SCHOLARSHIPS:   Applications usually due in early March:  https://www.iusb.edu/scholarships/

SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS (SAP) FOR FINANCIAL AID:   If you receive Financial Aid, it is your responsibility to understand the conditions you agreed to for receiving your aid, including minimum enrollment hours, and semester GPA requirements of that office.

FINANCIAL AID SUSPENSION: If you are suspended from financial aid you will be notified by IUSB email. You can appeal that decision.  If you intend to appeal, write your letter and gather your documents as soon as possible.

NOTE: WITHDRAWING FROM A CLASS: Withdrawals with no record must be done by the end of the first week of classes. Students can do an online withdrawal through the 10th week of classes, 5 p.m. and earn and automatic “W” grade.  Later withdrawals are possible but require signatures. You should always check with your academic advisor and financial aid counselor before withdrawing!
