The 16th Annual Midwest Conference on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning will be held on April 10, 2015 at Indiana University South Bend. Check the links on the left for more information!
2015 Keynote: “Overcoming Apathy: Increasing Motivation in the Classroom." Todd Zakrajsek, Executive Director, Academy of Educators, UNC Chapel Hill, and co-author of The New Science of Learning.
2015 Theme: "Motivating Our Students and Ourselves"
Student motivation is key to learning. What factors affect motivation? More importantly, what can faculty do to increase student motivation? And what about faculty? What motivates us to teach our best? Proposals on other teaching and learning topics will be considered, but preference will be given to those focused on motivation.
We are no longer accepting proposals for major presentations. We are now accepting proposals for our first annual Quick Hits (5-minute presentations of teaching tips). Click here to learn how!
