Why did a link in my left navigation disappear?

If a link for a page has gone missing in your left navigation, check the 'Display in Left Navigation?' radio button in the 'Inline Medtada' section under the 'Edit' tab for that page. If the link that went missing belongs to an index page in a subfolder on your site, you must edit the the 'Display in Left Navigation?' for the folder.

In order for the edits to take hold on every page of your site, you must then publish the entire site.

Why does my right navigation appear when I don't want it to?

Sometimes right navigation boxes can appear when spaces or hard returns have been entered into the optional right navigation content area. This will cause WCMS to display the right navigation on your webpage even if it appears there is no content. Forward and backward delete all spaces and returns and re-publish to remove the empty grey right nav.

Why have links on my site become broken or missing?

Moving or renaming system names on pages will break links. Please be aware that if you move or rename a page it will disrupt all links connected to that page. WCMS will only warn you of this, not prevent it from happening. To correct this you will need to relink all associated pages manually.

I have made a new folder why is my link giving me an error?

All new folders must have a page called index to prevent broken links. The index page is like the homepage of your new subfolder.

Am I publishing correctly?

When publishing from a submitted edit, always use the tab in the upper left hand corner. When publishing a single item from the site folder listing, use the check box and select publish in the lower left hand corner from the select one drop down menu.

How can I know for sure my site has published?

If you are confident your change has been published, but you cannot see your changes online visit active jobs. To view what is actively being published, click on the wcms swirl mark in the upper left hand corner, then hover over publisher then click active jobs. This cue will display all items that are currently being published. If you do not see your site or username, your site has likely been published.

My Page Won't Publish Online

Click "submit" at the bottom of the page before selecting "Publish". If you select "Publish" first your browser may navigate you away from the page you are working on.

Be sure you are highlighting the page you want to publish in your site folder. Select the dropdown arrow and click "Publish" or select "Publish" when viewing the page on the top right tab next to "more".

Make sure you have refreshed the page online. Sometimes publishing can take time if there are other items in the system waiting to be published.

I Can't Create a Link in WCMS

If you are changing an existing link make sure to "break" or "unlink" it first before changing the link.

Be sure your link browse window is not behind your browser. Sometimes when clicking around the window can be hidden behind your browser.
